Once your data is normalized, the next step is to connect it to entitlements, such as, licenses, contracts, and procurement data.

They presume that their procurement system already holds this data. Ultimately, Flexera One is only as powerful as the data it is being fed. If the right entitlement data isn’t provided, it risks missing out on the optimization potential hidden in your contracts.

Its built-in catalogue of governance policies allows users to apply hundreds of policies across numerous categories including cost, operations, compliance, SaaS and security. These policies will detect anomalies, trigger alerts and potentially even take corrective action.
For example, a governance policy set up around preventing cloud VMs being deployed in certain regions would be programmed to detect any anomalies in breach of the policy, delete them and issue an alert to notify you of that action. Automating that policy to run every, for example 15 minutes, would reduce an organization’s window of risk considerably.
